Inspired by the newspaper boon of the early 1800's, the Frederic table design is a unique mix of American Revival (curves of the base feet) and industrial machinery of that era (cast iron and crank wheel). This design takes its name from the Frederic Post Company located in Chicago, IL. The Frederick Post Company was a manufacturing leader of drafting tables and related factory workbenches during this period of US history.
The Frederick industrial-style table base features heavy cast iron and steel construction that adjusts from standard dining height up to counter height via mechanical hand crank. This very robust design is multi-functional as a dining table, pub table, kitchen island, writing table, or desk. The Frederick is offered with a variety of beautiful tabletops options, allowing the decorator to integrate this amazing table with vintage industrial, rustic luxury, and other sophisticated modern decorating styles.
